EL CAPLAN:
Like the opening scene of a Quentin Tarantino movie, El Caplan’s debut original single “Broken Record” (co-produced and mixed by rising Zach Bryan producer Eddie Spear) instantly captivates listeners with its laid-back, rumbling rhythms and vintage guitar textures. An artist with substantial range, El Caplan is rock and roll and country soul with a Latin twist, as demonstrated by his previous release of “Como La Flor,” a crooning, alt-country cover of Selena.
A seasoned multi-instrumentalist and producer, El Caplan has worked with industry titans like Dr. Dre and produced/toured with Latin R&B singer A. Chal. Born to a Mexican immigrant mother from the narco-run Culiacán, Sinaloa and an American father who was a Los Angeles R&B session musician in the 70's, El Caplan fuses his influences in a style that is uniquely his own.
After disbanding his alternative rock project Trickster Guru, which received critical acclaim from KCRW and Buzzbands.la., the singer-songwriter is now embarking on his new solo project with his debut EP, "Our Lady, the Queen of Angels," mixed and co-produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlisle). El Caplan’s soulful, distinct vocals and multi-faceted artistry instantly set him apart in the new wave of Alternative and Americana artists in 2023
TRIONA O’NEILL:
Born and raised in the small Irish town of Ballyshannon, it was impossible for Tríona to grow up and develop a love of music that wasn't steeped in Irish folk music. Tríona was penning her first songs at only 11 years old and at 18 moved away from home to study opera at The Cork School of Music. She shares:
“I was studying classical singing, but jazz and soul bubbled under the surface. I sang Mozart by day and Ella by night. After my MA, I decided I couldn’t ignore my gut and decided to pursue my passion for songwriting, which led me to London, New York and now, Los Angeles.”
Those evenings spent pouring over jazz, soul and folk records alongside her education in classical music formed a unique birthplace for Tríona’s writing to come to life. Her songs showcase her vocal prowess with soaring melodies and soulful vibrato, making her performances truly captivating. She has shared the stage with many artists including Brit Award nominee Laura Marling and has toured around the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US. Her vocals feature on the Emmy nominated New York Times series ‘Conception,’ as well as the Salvation Army Christmas advert.
Wed 29th of March, sees the launch of Triona's new single 'Till the End' which she will be celebrating on April 1st at the Rove event at the Hotel Cafe. Triona recorded the record at 64 sound with her incredible band Vicky Warwick, Kristen Gleeson-Prata, Jenny Judge and Dan Parez. The record was produced by Derek R Thomas and will be released on In the DRT records with a new single dropping on the last Wednesday of March, April and May this year.
Kate Grahn:
24-year-old singer-songwriter Kate Grahn was born and bred in Los Angeles. Raised by an opinionated and independent single mother, Grahn is no stranger to resilience, self-expression and soul. Her music is raw and passionate, and she draws from influence like Donna Missal, Grace Potter, and Janis Joplin to tell honest stories about mental health, womanhood, and coming of age.
